Author: Brandy Daniels

Brandy is a Ph.D. candidate in Theological Studies and a Fellow in Theology & Practice at Vanderbilt University, with a minor in Ethics & Society and a certificate in Women’s & Gender Studies. She has an M.Div. and a certificate in Gender, Theology, and Ministry, and an A.M. in Comparative Literature and African-American Studies from Duke University. Her research interests center around questions of theological anthropology at the intersections of systematics, critical theory, and ethics. Her dissertation, “Who is the ‘We?’ Formation and Theological Method in a Queer Time and Space,” explores the relationship between spiritual formation and theological method by placing theological analyses of time and space (eschatology and anthropology) in conversation with queer theoretical reflections on these themes (queer temporality and antisociality). Brandy is under-care for ordination with the Disciples of Christ (Christian Church), and a recent transplant in Manhattan by way of Nashville. She is also an avid runner and Jeopardy fan.
